Expertise in Analogue Photography
My practice as a cultural chronicler of Black British life since the 1990s has produced a significant visual record of music, style and community. Over three decades I have documented key movements, artists and moments that have shaped contemporary British culture. Alongside this documentary work, my portraiture has evolved into a key part of mypractice, with works now held in the National Portrait Gallery collection.
My archive has increasingly been sought by collectors and major cultural institutions including the V&A Museum and Tate, where my work featured in the exhibition 90s: Photographing Britain. This recognition has reinforced the cultural value of the material I have captured over the years, much of which still exists only in analogue form.
